Pastor Paul Carroll

After graduating from college in 1984 I became a youth pastor. I really enjoyed those years there will always be a special place in my heart for youth. In 1992 I became a Lead Pastor and since that time I have led 3 different churches all with unique God given giftings and ministries. God designed the church to be a spiritual family a place where we can have a meaningful, growing relationship with Jesus and others.
We enjoying being are part of the Orangeville community and are involved in tree planting, trail clean up, town corn roasts as well as volunteer as the Orangeville Police Chaplin.
Something that has really impacted me is the mission trip we have been on to Guatemala where we have worked in communities, group homes, schools, hospitals and more doing what we can to help people. To this day we still sponsor a child to go to school from there.
In 1986 I married my wife Kris she is my best friend and the love of my life. We enjoy spending time boating, fishing and going to yard sales. Kris loves to get a good deal. Kris likes swimming and being in the sun on the beach. I prefer to be on a lawn chair with a magazine in the shade. We have 3 children 2 boys and a girl who are grown and out of the house. We love our children and look forward to the times when we can be together.
For fun I enjoy being with people, training dogs, fishing, hunting, canoeing, ATVing, going to a cabin in the woods (electricity and running water optional). Just about anything to do with the outdoors even if it is hot, cold, wet, dry or somewhere in-between. Kris thinks that sounds more work than fun.

People. I enjoy being with and interacting with people.
Other than cat or dog, what is your favorite animal?
Deer.
Are you a morning person or night owl?
More morning than night. I have a hard time staying in bed when I start to think about all the things I would like to do or need to do.
What cities have you lived in?
Battersea, Oshawa, Brockville, Owen Sound, Sarnia, Windsor, Glencoe, Guelph, Orangeville and Barrie. All of these places are in Ontario.
What other jobs have you had?
Grocery store, Steel fabrication labourer, Line Worker Fiberglass Canada, construction, security, volunteer police chaplain.
What was your least favorite subject in high school? What was your favorite subject?
My least favourite subject was science. My favourite subject was gym.
What do you like to do during your time off?
Be on the boat with Kris (my wife), going to garage sales with Kris, working in the garage, training my dog. Mostly just being outdoors.
What is one of your favorite Bible verses?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

I love fish.

Chrysler worker, daycare teacher, nanny, sales, grocery store and restaurant.

My least favourite subject everything. My favourite subject was gym.

I love to be on my boat.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Being able to spend so much time with young people of all ages, interests, and backgrounds. The most amazing thing is seeing what God does in their lives as they get to know Him, to watch them grow into amazing young people. I also love to see volunteers come alive by using their God given talents and abilities to affect change in young people’s lives.

What cities have you lived in?
I lived most of my life in Brampton and am so blessed to now call Orangeville home.
What other jobs have you had?
Most of my high school / post-secondary summers were spent working at summer camp, which might just be the best job ever. I also spent 12 years as an accounting analyst before working full time in student ministries.
What was your least favorite subject in high school? What was your favorite subject?
I liked almost every subject and enjoyed completing many through the French Immersion program. One of my favourite classes/clubs was music.
What do you like to do during your time off?
When I have free time, I enjoy spending it with my husband Sean and our 2 daughters. We love to be outdoors almost any time of the year, whether snowboarding, biking, hiking, or whatever adventure we can find. I also enjoy funny movies, good books, and cooking/baking for friends and family.
What is one of your favorite Bible verses?
1 John 3:1a – See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
This is why I do what I do, I want to help people discover that we are all God’s Children. I pray for people to experience the depth of love God has for them, to know His acceptance and forgiveness, to be welcomed into an amazing family. This is where you belong!

Interacting with people is probably my favourite part of the job.

I am a little bit of both actually, but if I had to choose one, I would probably say morning person.
What cities have you lived in?
Orangeville is where I have lived most of my life, but I have also lived in Brampton, Peterborough, Pickering, Etobicoke & Mississauga.
Other jobs have you had?
Event coordinating, Marketing, and other administrative roles.
What was your least favourite subject in high school?
That would have to be a toss up between math or science.

Travel, when possible and find adventure with my kids!
