Our Values
Broadway adheres to a number of values, as outlined below. We are focused on community, family, and relationships, and each of our values work together to help us with these important parts of our church family
GODLY LEADERSHIP
We value Godly leadership and follow Jesus Christ as our supreme example. We depend on the Holy Spirit’s creative and innovative leadership for planning, mentoring, equipping, and releasing people to fulfillment in worship and ministry to others.
Therefore; we will lead only to the degree that we are willing to submit to Christ, serve others, and humble ourselves to be imitators of Him.
1 Timothy 3:1-7; Acts 6:3; Matthew 23:11; Philippians 2:1-8; Hebrews 13:7.
EXPERIENCING GOD
We value Holy Spirit led Praise, Worship, Prayer, and study of His Word (Bible) as a means of relationship and communion with Jesus Christ. This very personal expression is a key priority in our private lives and most of our public gatherings.
Therefore; we will live, teach, and encourage the personal lifestyle of worship towards Jesus in attitude, posture, and practice. We are committed to revealing Him through our public presentation of praise in music, singing, dance, drama, and other creative expressions.
Psalm 95:6-7; Deuteronomy 4:7; Psalm 147:1; John 4:23-24.
PEOPLE
We value People and their spiritual development as one of God’s dynamic means to sustain and perpetuate a healthy community of Christ’s followers.
Therefore; as a family of believers we will place high value on building true relationships and we will assume responsibility for creating an environment of spiritual, emotional and physical health that will attract people to become passionate followers of Christ.
Acts 10:34-35; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Rev 21:3.
MISSIONS
We value People who are unaware of God’s grace, mercy and love and believe they are owed the compassion of Jesus Christ and that they matter to God and to us.
Therefore; we will train and equip gifted and enabled people to effectively lead and accomplish the work of local and global missions.
Matthew 28:19; Luke 15
